Disclosure: GlowUp Face publishes this page and sells one of the products compared. That gives us a commercial conflict when we assess the options.
The best YouCam skin analysis alternative depends on the job. Choose Cetaphil MySkin for a free mobile-browser scan, Skin Bliss for an app-based routine and tracker, or Rosee for on-device analysis. GlowUp Face suits a detailed browser report without a subscription. YouCam remains stronger when you want live makeup try-on beside the scan.
This is a desk comparison of public product pages and current store listings. I didn't upload photos or buy reports, so this compares published features and policies, not output quality.
What YouCam offers now
YouCam's current consumer route sits inside YouCam Makeup. Its Beauty Agent analyzes an uploaded photo, scores several skin categories and lets you ask follow-up questions. Perfect Corp names hydration, smoothness, firmness, spots, fine lines, pores and uneven tone among the visible signals.
The scan is free, according to YouCam's October 2025 guide. The wider app has paid monthly and yearly options. Its main advantage is range: the same app also offers a live camera for makeup try-on, photo retouching and hair previews.
Perfect Corp's separate software serves brands, retailers and clinics, so it isn't the consumer Beauty Agent and has no comparison row here.
If you want a wider shortlist rather than a direct replacement, use our broader AI skin analysis app comparison.

Checked on 21 October 2026 on YouCam's AI Skin Analysis page and US App Store listing. I also opened Cetaphil's MySkin page, Skin Bliss's UK App Store listing and Rosee's comparison page. Prices and plans change, so check the current listing before paying.
Where the other tools are stronger
YouCam is the clear fit if virtual makeup matters. You can scan your skin, ask the Beauty Agent a question, then use a live camera to preview makeup. None of the alternatives here matches that exact combination.
Cetaphil MySkin offers a free browser route. It needs no download, gives quick basics before registration and says the selfie is deleted after results return. Its tradeoff is commercial focus: recommendations point to Cetaphil products.
Skin Bliss is stronger than GlowUp Face for a habit loop. It supports daily photos, a diary, routine timelines and repeated comparisons. Choose it if reminders and history matter more than a one-off report.
Rosee is the only option here that says its full analysis stays on the device. Low-quality input can return “not enough data.” Choose it if server upload is unacceptable.

How to compare scans without fooling yourself
A scan reads a photograph taken under specific conditions. It isn't a clinical grade, and a new score doesn't prove that your skin changed.
Helga Henseler's 2023 study in GMS Interdisciplinary Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery tested 19 people with a standardized VISIA imaging rig. Repeated wrinkle captures varied by about 3% for absolute scores and 9% for percentiles. The study didn't test any app on this page. It shows why small shifts deserve caution, even with controlled equipment.
For a fairer personal comparison, use the same phone, camera, room, distance, angle and time of day. Keep makeup, filters and facial expression consistent. This is an editorial consistency check, not a validated clinical protocol. Our guide to AI skin-analysis accuracy explains the limits in more detail.
Illustrative example: browser access without a subscription
A reader wants pore, redness and dark-circle feedback. She won't install an app or start a subscription. That removes YouCam, Skin Bliss and Rosee on platform alone.
Cetaphil MySkin is the sensible free first step. GlowUp Face becomes relevant only if she wants broader maps, ranked fixes and a paid report. She should still compare photos under matched light, not compare two unmatched scores.
What to pick
- Keep YouCam if live makeup try-on and conversational skin guidance belong in one app.
- Pick Cetaphil MySkin for a free browser scan whose page says the selfie is deleted after results.
- Pick Skin Bliss for repeated tracking, routine tools and a daily habit loop.
- Pick Rosee when on-device photo processing matters more than Android access.
- Consider GlowUp Face's browser skin analysis for detailed visible-skin maps and one paid report without a subscription.
GlowUp Face is the wrong choice if you want push notifications, offline use or automatic progress tracking. Its free preview is partial and requires an email. One payment covers one report, not repeated scans.
It also won't give you an attractiveness number to compare with friends. Some directional skin readings can show cohort context, but that group is self-selected. The Photo-Ready Score isn't a rank against other people.
Whichever tool you choose, use the result as a photo-based observation. Persistent acne, a changing lesion or another medical concern needs a qualified clinician, not another selfie scan.
